A Midsummer Nights Dream Party

We celebrated midsummer night with a 'fairy' themed party for our family and friends.  I got to go crazy with the 'all things ethereal' theme, I made our costumes (including the wings which I was particularly proud of) styled the garden with lots of flowers and woodland treasures that we collected over the weeks prior to the party, made salt dough toadstools and even made a fairy themed cake as it was my dear friend Jess's birthday that evening.  The garden looked really magical especially when lit up when it eventually got dark.  The children loved the toadstool pinatta and the adults enjoyed the 'love potion' punch! My wonderful neices threw themselves into it and dressed up as beautiful fairies and we were even graced by the presence of real fairies at the bottom of the garden enjoying their own solstice celebration.  A great time was had by all. We cant wait to do it all again next year.
